You are assisted by a group of squad mates that are more than happy to shoot both bullets and obscenities. It was rather irritating to try to assault an enemy position only to be stymied by a two-foot mound of dirt. ![]() This was compounded by the fact that my otherwise potent soldier was, for some reason, unable to climb over anything. I was also substantially annoyed by the curious lack of a jump button. It's too bad that the levels are ultimately so linear, the boundaries marked by conspicuous ridges or fallen trees when they're not marked by invisible walls. And to keep things from getting to stale, the designers have given each level its own color palette by mixing up the weather and the time of day or night in which it takes place. As you might expect, they're largely jungle scenes, crammed full of foliage, hills, ravines, and trees. ![]() The game's environments aren't just for fire fighting - they look pretty awesome, too.
